Concrete Floor
Client: Chateau Elan
Info: Commercial Cleaning, Honing and Polishing, Sealing
Upon removing the carpet from their cafeteria area, the client encountered obstacles in realizing their desire for a sleek, low-sheen dark concrete floor. The presence of embedded carpet glue and paint residues, deep scratches, unsightly stains, and damage from an ongoing renovation posed significant challenges. Given the time-sensitive nature of the project, with a tight 4-day deadline, urgent attention was required to transform this space effectively.
Initiating the restoration process, we commenced with intensive cleaning and chemical stripping to eliminate as much glue and paint residue as possible. This initial step proved instrumental in uncovering the more challenging areas, enabling us to chart a more efficient course for the restoration. We then honed and polished the floor, employing a meticulous process that involved multiple passes with increasingly finer grits of metal and resin-bonded diamonds—totaling nearly 10 complete passes. The concluding phase involved the application of a densifier and sealer, guaranteeing a stain-resistant and impeccably preserved concrete floor for years to come.
